    16 December, Victory Day

    A day of celebration for the Bengali nation. After a long and sanguineous struggle of nine months, on 16 December 1971, the Pakistani invaders, led by Lieutenant General Amir Abdullah Khan Niazi, surrendered to Lieutenant General Jagjit Singh Arora, Commander of the Joint Forces of Bangladesh and India at the Racecourse Ground. Since then, the Bengali nation has been celebrating the day with great pride.

     

    Dhanaidaha Haque Autistic & Buddhi Protibondhi Biddaloy starts the day by hoisting the national flag and singing the national anthem. After that, a discussion meeting and rally is organized to explain the significance of the day. The program is concluded by offering prayers and distributing sweets among the children with special needs for the souls of all those who were martyred in the war of independence.

    03 December, International Day of Persons with Disabilities

    December 3 of every year is celebrated as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities

    This day has been observed since 1992 under the auspices of the United Nations. The day was started with the aim of showing sympathy and cooperation to the physically imperfect people and respecting their activities. There is an eventful life memory behind the disability day follow-up around the world. Many people died in a fatal mine accident in Belgium in March 1956. More than 5,000 injured people became permanently disabled. Their lives became miserable. Out of sympathy and benevolence towards them, several social organizations have come forward in the field of medical treatment and rehabilitation. The very next year, in Zurich, many organizations from around the world jointly convened a huge international conference. From there, the details of all the details about the obstacles match. Several proposals and programs for the welfare of the disabled were unanimously adopted there. International Day of Persons with Disabilities is called to draw attention to the endangered persons injured in the mine accident. Since then, it has become a day to extend a helping hand to people with disabilities all over the world.

    06 October, World Cerebral Palsy Day

    Cerebral palsy is one of the least understood disabilities and people with cerebral palsy are often out of sight, out of mind and out of options in communities around the world. This needs to change.

     

    World Cerebral Palsy Day on 6 October was created by the Cerebral Palsy Alliance in 2012 and now brings together people living with cerebral palsy, their families, allies, supporters and organizations across more than 100 countries. All with the aim to ensure a future in which children and adults with cerebral palsy have the same rights, access and opportunities as anyone else in our society.

     

    Dhanaidaha Haque Autistic & Buddhi Protibondhi Biddaloy has been celebrating this day with due dignity since its establishment. School has been observing this day through rallies and other activities.

     

    The aim of celebrating this day is to recognize the struggles and daily challenges of the people living with CP and find new ways to make their life easier. It aims at making an inclusive society for such people and fighting for their rights and equality.

    15 August, National Mourning Day

    This is a day of great shame and mourning for the Bengali nation. On the black night of 15th August 1975, some miscreants of Bengal brutally killed 20 people including Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the nation, his wife, and 3 children and 6 relatives at his house No. 32 in Dhanmondi. This was an obnoxious chapter for the Bengali nation. This day is celebrated every year in a mournful atmosphere. On this day, the national flag is kept at half-mast.

     

    Dhanaidaha Haque Autistic & Buddhi Protibondhi Biddaloy observes the day with a wreath-laying ceremony and discussion program on the portrait of Bangabandhu. The program is concluded with a prayer program for Bangabandhu and his family.

    02 April, World Autism Awareness Day

    World Autism Awareness Day is an internationally recognized day that is celebrated on 2nd April every year. On this day, the United Nations encourages its member countries around the world to take various initiatives to raise awareness about people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The day was nominated by the UN General Assembly in accordance with Article 62/1999. The resolution "World Autism Awareness Day" was passed by the UN General Assembly on November 1, 2006 and adopted on December 16 of the same year. Shikha Mojah bint Nasser al-Misnad and his successor, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, emir of the state of Qatar, all member states supported their proposal.

     

    The resolution was passed and adopted without a vote in the UN General Assembly. This was originally a step in the direction of previous UN initiatives to promote human rights. World Autism Day is one of the seven days of the United Nations. These are the days when all the different autism organizations around the world work together on issues such as research, diagnosis, treatment, and social acceptance of people with such mental disorders.

    26 March, Independence Day & National Day

    This day is very significant for the Bengali nation. On this day in 1971, under the strong leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Bengali nation embarked on the struggle for independence. On the dark night of March 25, when the Pakistani aggressors started killing civilians including intellectuals, poets and writers indiscriminately, the declaration of independence on March 26 was very crucial for the nation. The Bengali nation was inspired to wage a bloody nine-month-long struggle mainly through the declaration of independence. The day is celebrated as National Day.

     

    Dhanaidaha Haque Autistic & Buddhi Protibondhi Biddaloy has been celebrating the day with due dignity since 2016. The day's activities began with the hoisting of the national flag and the national anthem in the morning. On this day, free medical camps and blood grouping, sports competitions, prize distribution, and discussion programs are organized explaining the significance of the day. The invited guests highly appreciate all the activities and promise to involve themselves in all the activities of the organization.

    21 March, Down's Syndrome Day

    World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) is an annual March 21 celebration and global awareness day officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. March 21 (3/21) was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome. The theme for 2022 WDSD is inclusion.

    World Down Syndrome Day is marked each year on March 21, beginning in 2006. The 21st day of March was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome. Every year on March 21, World Down Syndrome Day is observed to create awareness about Down syndrome.

    17 March, National Children's Day & Father of the Nation's Birth Anniversary

    Known as 'Father of the Nation's birth anniversary' and it commemorates the birthday of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman who is regarded as the father of the nation of Bangladesh and is popularly known as Bangabandhu ("Friend of Bengal"). The day is also celebrated as National Children's Day.

     

    Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was born on 17 March 1920. This day is also marked as National Children's Day in Bangladesh. The day is observed on 17 March to coincide with the birth anniversary of Bangabandhu, in order to recognise his contribution to children's rights and to celebrate the love he had for children.

    21 February, International Mother Language Day

    This day is very significant for the Bengali nation. In 1952, the brave boys of Bengal showed rare courage by outpouring blood for the language. Salam, Barkat, Rafiq, Jabbar, and other brave children of Bengal who did not know their names showed their respect and love for the language. By outpouring fresh blood from their chests, they established Bengali as the state language of then East Pakistan. Respecting this sacrifice of the Bengali nation, UNESCO declared this day International Mother Language Day in 1999.

     

    Dhanaidaha Haque Autistic & Buddhi Protibondhi Biddaloy has been celebrating this day with due dignity since its establishment. The national flag is hoisted at half-mast on the day. Besides, laying the flower bouquet at Shaheed Minar and discussing the significance of the day is an essential part of the program of the day. The day's activities are concluded by organizing prayers for the language martyrs.
