This day is very significant for the Bengali nation. On this day in 1971, under the strong leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Bengali nation embarked on the struggle for independence. On the dark night of March 25, when the Pakistani aggressors started killing civilians including intellectuals, poets and writers indiscriminately, the declaration of independence on March 26 was very crucial for the nation. The Bengali nation was inspired to wage a bloody nine-month-long struggle mainly through the declaration of independence. The day is celebrated as National Day.
Dhanaidaha Haque Autistic & Buddhi Protibondhi Biddaloy has been celebrating the day with due dignity since 2016.
