December 3 of every year is celebrated as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities
This day has been observed since 1992 under the auspices of the United Nations. The day was started with the aim of showing sympathy and cooperation to the physically imperfect people and respecting their activities. There is an eventful life memory behind the disability day follow-up around the world. Many people died in a fatal mine accident in Belgium in March 1956. More than 5,000 injured people became permanently disabled. Their lives became miserable. Out of sympathy and benevolence towards them, several social organizations have come forward in the field of medical treatment and rehabilitation. The very next year, in Zurich, many organizations from around the world jointly convened a huge international conference. From there, the details of all the details about the obstacles match. Several proposals and programs for the welfare of the disabled were unanimously adopted there. International Day of Persons with Disabilities is called to draw attention to the endangered persons injured in the mine accident. Since then, it has become a day to extend a helping hand to people with disabilities all over the world.
